Class Information
Handle with Care
If something happens at home, send me a “handle with care” message. I will know that I need to be extra mindful of them that day.
This gives you the flexibility to share as little or as much as you feel comfortable with.
Communication
I check my emails in the morning and afternoon. To contact me throughout the day, you’ll need to call the front office OR send me a message through Remind. I always respond if I see it.
No response = missed message.
Snack Time
Each day we will have a short break where your child can munch on a snack. Snacks could be fruit, veggies, nuts, granola bars, or other healthy, not messy foods.
Birthdays
I will send home a birthday note a week before we’re going to celebrate your child’s birthday. You can read it here.
Summer birthdays will be celebrated on your child’s half birthday.
Homework
Monthly Book Report
Each month we will do a book report of a certain genre. Unlike other homework, these will count toward your child’s Reading Effort Score.
Reading
Research shows a significant increase in a child’s academic ability when they read for 20 minutes everyday.
I realize life is busy. Please, read with your child, listen to your child read, or read to your child as often as you can.
Math Facts
By the end of third grade, your child should be able to quickly add, subtract, and multiply facts. Practice with your child at home or have them get onto Reflex.

Back to School
Let’s start out this year right, by working together!
